i love both of these cars in a way you could say i have both. i have a 300zx and a formula firebird (455) they are both tight ass cars. so stop the arguing about if it had this if it had that.
no, but it doesn’t come with a v8 either. the turbo evens the paying field. if you want to add a turbo to the firebird then the 350z will need a bigger turbo or a theoretical v8 engine swap.
fact is, many 350z turbos run far faster and quicker than what that one did. 110 trap is pathetic for a turbo 350.
It doesnt always matter about the power unless one has mega power compared to the other. A 1971 hemicuda, 426 hemi built by mopar, at least 1500 hp if not more with enough torque to wheelie down the 1/3 anaginst a honda civic turbo kit, injen parts n shit like that. The hemicudas gunna win. But if one has 400 hp and the other has 300 HP and the 300 is lighter, its gunna win
A toy as in it is a joy toy drive and makes you feel like a kid again. Not to mention how the stock Z outshines the Burning chicken in every other aspect of racing. No engine is a toy considering a 140hp Sunfire can kill you in a collision with a standing object.
v8 vs. turbo v6 with a shitty driver and about a 1 second reaction time. The firebird won, yes…but the Z (with a driver that isnt on crack) will wipe that thing all over the road. Basically he had a 1 second reaction time…if he reacted quicker you can do the math.
