  • 1mesterious says:

also they plan on dropping hummer and saab.. but saab is going to most likely keep going but with another company..

  • bajabusta says:

w/ what products? all are currently GM. I wondered that too, as Saturn is supposedly attempting to do the same thing….

  • Mattco92 says:

can’t pontiac just split off and make its own company?

  • 1mesterious says:

yeah GM got rid of pontiac. GM had to get rid of one of there divisions so they picked pontiac

  • Mattco92 says:

    PONTIAC IS GONE?!?!

  • lepivert says:

    Argl ! Such a nice car ! RIP Pontiac…

  • bajabusta says:

I love that gen GP, IMO much better than the 97 and newer gens. I have a poster in my garage of the 88.5 GP (white w/ red accent) from the car show i went to that year. Love the jpull down door handles on the exterior

its a shame pontiac is gone. they will be missed. i still think my 99 grand prix GT coupe is the sexiest pontiac has ever produced. this trans am isn’t bad though.

  • bajabusta says:

too bad teh quad 4 was so loud rough and unreliable, I always thought the output per liter was impressive, and the engine itself was a good looking motor physically!

  • Fordguy02 says:

Pontiac had some great cars and some bad ones. My family had 2 of their bad ones a first gen Sunbird and a 1990 Grand Am Quad 4.

  • Fordguy02 says:

    nice knowing you Pontiac.

  • Ultramarine says:

    I lucked out then I have a 350sb in my 88 GTA

  • pontiacgmx says:

Gotta love that 305 V8 in the Trans am, but still not as good as the 5.0 in the mustang foxbodys, damn those 5.0’s pulled

i posting a video response let me know what you think?

  • ke228 says:

lol yeah, it is literally a poor man’s Ferrari!!

  • bajabusta says:

But it wasn’t a GM produced vehicle. Plus I think I would just laugh at someone w/ one!! LOL

  • ke228 says:

Yeah, it was built on a Fiero chassis I believe and was sold at a few Pontiac dealers. Only 248 produced!

  • bajabusta says:

honestly no? I searched online and found fiero kit cars.

  • ke228 says:

You must have heard of the Pontiac MERA. Another super rare GM!

  • ke228 says:

I agree, they are indeed one of the rarer and interesting GMs, Despite the notch having cosmetic problems & taking up the little trunk space it had!

  • bajabusta says:

HELL YEAH!! I have a model of that too!! Honestly, now that I think about it, prolly one of the rarer GMs out ther

  • ke228 says:

They also produced a notchback GTA in 88…very rare!

  • JOSYMOL says:

You are wrong. These nose style came out in the 90’s, 91’s & 92’s models.

I had a ‘91 Firebird V8, a ‘92 Firebird V6, a 1982 Trans Am V8 (I still have this one), and a ‘82 Trans Am V8. I love this cars. I am waiting to see better times to restore my 1983 V8 Trans Am SE. Thats the only one I still have, as I was forced to sell the other ones, and I regret it.

The best cars I have ever owned. The fastes was the ‘91 V8 Firebird and it had great handling. Too bad the rust found the floor.
