I have a 92′ and the handling on that car is amazing. I have yet to feel something better. If I ever had a dangerous situation that I had to swerve like that again I hope I’m in that car.
bajabusta, the 350 can mate with the T-5 tranny …the 305 and 350 blocks are bascially the same bolt design..however the 350 torque was too great for the T-5 to handle. So all you could of get with the 5.7L was the 700R4 tranny…However they did built prototype birds with 350s and the ZF 6speed corvette trannies…that would of been something..at least the 91-92 firehawks got em
…ahhh! takes me back to memory lane…kinda wish i had a GTA convertible! luckily at least i got a 89 GTA T-top…these cars are beautiful even though they’re already hitting 20 years old! I love the lumbar supports and why would anybody complain about the instrumentation? The more gauges the better! It makes you feel like your in a cockpit of a fighter plane! I just wish i had a stick shift in stock trim with the 5.7L v8…Thanks for the post…
cool! I am actively seeking a Beretta ( my first car) found a nice GT recently, but too slow to pull the trigger
I do now…
do you have a Z26?
Tru enough. My 86 Mustang GT would walk those 5.0 F-Bodies ALL day and night long with ease… Now the 350’s were something else…

pretty sure the manual did not mate w/ the 5.7 from the factory. Am I wrong?

I loved the 91-92 body styles, i really wanna own one!
John Davis: Take that tokyo XDXDXDXDXD JOHN DAVIS RULES!!! THE FIREBIRD ALSO!!!
Its got a great sound..even stock.I have a 1991 TA and it is extremely reliable and extremely fast.
hmmm, i thought the only ‘verts with 350s were 89s.. i know the 91-91 t-top formula was the only t-top fbody to get a 350 in those 2 years though
my 91 formula had a 350
That looks pretty sweet - I don’t think I have seen one IRL.
One of the best looking years of the Trans Am ever!!
too bad the production 91s only had 305s… you could order an 89 GTA w/ the 350 and then get ASC to convert it
Word Indeed.
Sweet,I wish they still made cars like that.
