Is my pontiac going to be more expensive to maintain since pontiac is going out of business?

pontiac

It’s official now, Pontiac is dead. So what does that mean for us Pontiac owners/lovers? Are parts going to skyrocket? How does this affect us?

my guess would be no since pontiac was never really independent its just a brach of General motors so even if they get phased out completely that has nothing to do with replacement parts gm will still make replacement parts for them and im sure autozone ect ect will still sell parts for them and most mechanics that dont work in a dealership wont even notice a change and they could never justify charging the same to fix a pontiac as to fix a bmw…. how did you come to the conclusion it would cost more???

no, because it shares 99% of the parts with chev cars, but few years from now sheet metal and body work will be somewhat more expensive.

im guessing you dont do your own mechanic work, love is a loose term when working on a pontiac(especially quad motors)
your parts and maintenance items should all still be obtainable and fairly inexpensive(who am i kidding its a pontiac)ok somewhat expensive and just as difficult to work on.

not really you can get parts for car made 50 years ago they dont cost any more really most cost less but either way parts wil be a round a while most likely longer then you own it
